The RX5 was the flagship drum machine from Yamaha in the mid 1980s, known for it's signature crunchy, punchy 12-bit sound. The RX5 is heard on Prince's "Sign o the Times" album, Cameo's "Word Up" single, and dozens of other classic synth funk tracks. Anyone interested in 80s synth funk is going to love this pack. But hey, it's also great for hip-hop, new jack swing, classic 90's house and any other style that benefits from the crisp bite of 12-bit drums.

We carefully sampled all 24 of the original hits, as well as 52 additional ROM cartridge samples, and engineered them into a Drum Rack optimized for use with Ableton PUSH.

In the download you will find the RX5 drum rack where you may dial through the different RX5 samples of each drum type: kick drums, snare drums, claps, hi hats, cymbals, bongos, conga, Latin percussion, and FX hits!
There are 16 sound types, and a total of 76 RX5 stock and ROM samples to choose from.

The drum rack features unique mixing capabilities to allow you to emulate the way that the RX5 would be mixed in classic recording studios. Side chained compression, Delay 'Slap Back' on the kicks, Phase and pan adjustments for the treble sections and tom toms. Overdrive dial allows you to mix in analog modeled overdrive as little or as much as you like from 0% = no distortion, to 100% = distortion only.
